Long ORDINANCE NO. 9534 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE 600 BLOCK OF BELL AVENUE, BEING ON THE NORTHWEST LINE OF BELL AVENUE SOUTHEAST OF BLACK STREET FROM C-2 CONVENIENCE COMMERCIAL ZONE TO M-2 LIGHT INDUSTRIAL ZONE, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS. _______________________ SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is hereby amended so as to rezone: A tract of land located in the 600 block of Bell Avenue, being on the northwest line of Bell Avenue southeast of Black Street. Part of lot 3, Final Plat of Shipley's Division, as shown by plat of record in plat book 47, page 94, R.O.H.C. Said part of lot begins on the northwest line of Bell Avenue 246.64 feet southeast, then southwest of the intersection of the southwest line of Bell Avenue with the southeast line of Black Street, thence southwest 150 feet with Bell Avenue, thence northwest 111.95 feet with the northeast line of lot 4, said subdivision to the northwest corner thereof, thence northeast 149.91 feet with the southeast line of lot 2, Shipley's Division, as shown by plat of record in plat book 44, page 153, R.O.H.C., to the northeast corner thereof, thence southeast 131.52 feet to the northwest line of Bell Avenue, the point of beginning, said part of lot being part of the property described in deed book 3675, page 380, R.O.H.C. Tax Map No. 135C-C-1 (part). from C-2 Convenience Commercial Zone to M-2 Light Industrial Zone. SECTION 2. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning shall be subject to the following conditions: 1. Restricted to the proposed use of a sheet metal shop only or any other use permitted in the C-2 Convenience Commercial Zone. 2. All existing easements are retained. SECTION 3. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the public welfare requiring it.
